The Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) promotes every year several Brazilian symposiums on different areas of Computer Science. Since its first edition in 1995, WebMedia became the most important forum in Brazil for researchers and professionals from Multimedia and Hypermedia areas.

In 2006 (twelfth edition), the WebMedia will be held in Natal, in November 19-22. WebMedia 2006 will occur within a joint conference that includes, besides WebMedia, the following conferences:
   - Symposium on Human Factors in Computer Systems (IHC2006)
   - Brazilian Symposium on Collaborative Systems (SBSC2006)

The conference organization will be under responsability of Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro - PUC-Rio, through its Department of Informatics, and Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, through its Department of Informatics and Applied Mathematics.
