STIL - Symposium in Information and Human Language Technology

STIL is the bi-annual Language Technology event supported by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and by the Brazilian Special Interest Group on Natural Language Processing (CE–PLN).
The conference has a multidisciplinary nature and covers a broad spectrum of disciplines related to Human Language Technology, such as Linguistics, Computer Science, Psycholinguistics, Information Science, among others. It aims at bringing together both academic and industrial participants working on those areas.
STIL will have the following collocated events:
- VI Workshop on Portuguese DescriptionV Workshop on Portuguese Description (JDP)
- VI Student Workshop on Information and Human Language Technology (TILic).
- II Evaluation of Semantic Textual Similarity and Textual Inference in Portuguese (ASSIN 2)
The STIL will be held at Mercure Hotel located at Rio Vermelho, which is one of the most famous neighborhood in Salvador. Besides its wonderful beaches (Paciência and Buracão), this place is known by a high number of pubs and restaurants, making you comfortable to try the traditional cuisine and local culture from Salvador.
