This award was established by the Special Commission on Human-Computer Interaction (CEIHC) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), in 2015, to recognise and honor professionals from the scientific community working in this area whose career has historically and continuously contributed to inspire, develop, consolidate and promote the Brazilian research in HCI. The awarded professionals are chosen by CEIHC among those whose careers are recognized for outstanding performance in the following categories:
— Scientific contribution in HCI field
— Scientific or educational projects of high social relevance
— Influence and training of researchers in HCI
— Service to the Brazilian HCI community
— Insertion and international recognition
