[link to the last year]
This is the second edition of the largest workshop
in Game and Digital entertainment development. Both the industry
and research in digital entertainment have largely increased
in the last decade. More specifically, computer games have
achieved scientific and technological maturity and consequently
more interest from the academic community and national and
international investors. Games and Digital Entertainment are
intimately related to the modern focus on real-time rendering
and distributed virtual environments.
WJogos 2003, as part of the WebMídia (http://www.unifacs.br/webmidia2003),
is the most important workshop of the Games and Digital Entertainment
Brazilian Community and is officially supported by Computer
Brazilian Society (http://www.sbc.org.br).
It will take place in Salvador - BA, from 03 to 04 of November
2003.
WJogos 2003 will be considering both full papers and posters.
The papers should be about mature research with conclusive
results and the posters should describe an incipient research
or a survey. WJogos is also seeking tutorials to be presented
by experts in the areas suggested below.
Another important objective of the workshop remains the interaction
among the different games and digital entertainment enthusiasts
such as researchers, game developers, publishers, TV industry
etc.
